The body of Bangladeshi Mohammad Shravan, who was killed in a missile attack in Iraq, has arrived in Dhaka. It was brought back to the country under government management on Friday (May 29) morning. When a Turkish Airlines flight carrying the body landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 5:15 am, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Shama Islam Obaid received the body of the remittance fighter who was killed at the airport.
The deceased Mohammad Shravan (Passport No-EJ 0820327) is a resident of Bakultala village under Munshiganj Sadar Upazila and the son of Mohammad Noli Mia. He went to Baghdad, Iraq 10 years ago in search of livelihood. He recently died tragically after being hit by a wartime missile in Baghdad. The Minister of State for External Affairs expressed deep sorrow over his untimely and painful death and expressed his sincere condolences to the bereaved family.
Mohammad Shravan’s body was brought to Bangladesh under the overall supervision and government process of the Bangladesh Embassy in Baghdad.
